Jesus never existed.

There are no Roman records to support the existence of Jesus. There were no historians at the time of Jesus who recorded his existence.

The omniscient writing style of the Gospels as well as the numerous discrepencies between them prove that they are not historical documents.

There are doctrinal discrepencies between the Jesus of the Gospels and the Jesus of Paul's writings. They were not writing about the same Jesus.

This relationship that you have with Jesus is based on your faith in a fictitious character.

I think he just posted some more recent info. For the life of me, I have no notion what question he is answering or the purpose of those links.

I'd like to stay pretty stupid about believers' logic and reasoning at this point. We're surrounded by that blather.

I, for one, am looking for sites like this one. I might do some troll bashing here, but I'm not looking for interaction, an argument, a debate or even a neutral conversation. If I wanted that, I wouldn't be here. I assume there are liberal Xian sites that welcome dialogue with nonbelievers and keep a modicum of civility.

Right now, for me? F**k civility. I'm not part of the agnostic/atheist/nontheist/bright public relations department and diplomacy has never been my strong suit.

i'm amazed at how "religion" is equated with Christianity. Being a Christian is much more than being about a set or rules to live by or rituals to perform. Being a Christian is about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It means believing the Bible is true and that God has given it to us to settle matters of faith and practice. It isn't about fear and it's sad that people exclusively use fear to witness. It's not the way the Bible teaches us to tell people the good news. It's good news. Not fear. You can be free of sin and death. You can become all you were designed to be - purposed to be. Through Jesus, you can be free.

Interesting question you ask, but let me ask you this in return.

Whatever happened to you, to make you disbelieve in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

The answer for most of us, is that we matured as we got older and our cognitive minds realized that such mythical beings had no supporting evidence for their existence.
We then realized it was Mom and Dad, all along, playing out those roles.

In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy finds out that the Wizard was just a flawed human being, who knew how to "dance the dance" of a Wizard.

While most of us were blinded by the delusion of the xtian god being a part of our reality, once we pulled back that "curtain" and saw the truth about your god, the answer for how god came to be known, was quite obvious.

Men made him up, as they did all their gods....Simply Really!!

Of course, just like having to face up to the fact that these other childhood fantasy people were just myths, it wasn't easy for most here to reconcile our lives, without our god beliefs still intact.
It takes pounds of courage to face such a truth, far more than losing one's faith in Santa.

You obviously haven't the courage to question your Faith and see reality as it really is.
You still cling to your sky-daddy, as a child clings to it's teddy bear when it needs support.

Come back and visit us when you develop the courage to face life without your personal mythical god, but until then, you have NOTHING to offer us that we haven't heard a million time already. That you can take to the bank, as they say.

Then again, you already have a propensity to believe ridiculous things when it comes to reality, per "faith".

That remains to be seen, however, because religion is precisely the topic here, which leads me back to this: Your proselytizing, under which you now make cheap attempts to show how you "love" me/us, is NOT appreciated(nor convincing). Your blatant disrespecting of the site's purpose disclaimer is NOT appreciated. Additionally, you expect us to believe that you possess this "Truth" that you believe we missed out on, while yet, your blog title, itself, is a blatant mis-truth(lie).

Repeat: "Atheism" is most certainly NOT "dead". In fact, in the very document by which you claim to know this "Truth", it assures you/us that there will be skeptics/doubters(Atheists) in its supposed foretelling of the future.
